Last Thursday, October 10, GriffinAI hosted an AMA session Twitter Spaces featuring Colin Fitzpatrick, our Head of Business Development. The discussion ventured deep into the realms of AI technology and blockchain, showcasing GriffinAI's leadership in leveraging AI to transform how we build, deploy and use AI agents on the blockchain.
The timing of this AMA was perfectly aligned with recent breakthroughs the company has achieved in the application of AI within blockchain environments, with the recent launch of GriffinAI Playground.
Understanding the difference: AI agents vs. bots
A pivotal topic addressed during the AMA was the common confusion between AI agents and traditional bots. Colin Fitzpatrick clearly delineated the distinctions, noting, "Bots we've had for a long time. They're just pieces of software that are programmed to do various things but they don't think for themselves, they're not truly autonomous." He then highlighted the capabilities of AI agents, saying, "AI agents are autonomous pieces of software that can operate independently and together to complete goal-oriented tasks."
This explanation underscores the advanced nature of AI agents, capable not just of executing assigned tasks but also of engaging in independent reflection and adaptive learning. Colin shared his experiences from a recent global family office investment summit he attended in Dubai, where he discussed the integration of AI agents in investment frameworks and blockchain technologies. "It is a huge meeting of family offices... I was asked to come in and speak about AI and specifically agents, which I did on a panel with a couple of other AI experts," he explained.
This engagement highlighted the emerging role of AI agents in reshaping investment strategies and their potential to revolutionize blockchain operations by introducing more efficient, autonomous systems.
Expanding horizons through global partnerships
GriffinAI's recent global outreach and partnerships were also a focal point of the AMA. Colin recounted highlights from events like the AI Crypto Summit and collaborations with key players in the blockchain world, including HTX and Tron. "We were the presenting partner at the AI Crypto Summit... It was on a beautiful floating island convention center, and the venue itself was amazing," he remarked.
These partnerships underscore our commitment at GriffinAI to fostering a thriving ecosystem and reinforcing our presence globally.
Strengthening community ties with innovative AI features
Colin himself emphasized the importance of community engagement in GriffinAI's strategy. He detailed how the company has been actively involving the community through interactive initiatives, such as a QR game during the summit that rewarded participants with points. "We gave 3,000 points for everyone who completed our QR game during the summit, and we're currently planning other games for the community online so they can gain more points for upcoming airdrops," he shared.
